It's interesting, but quite frankly, while I believe this world as we know it is going to end, I don't think it will be anytime in 2012 or even close to that date. I heard all about the Mayan calendar and stuff but all these theories seem really far-fetched to me.

I agree, most people indeed find the mere idea of real Vampyres quite far-fetched. But I fail to see the connection between this and the end of the world :-)

Well back to the original subject. I did see the videos. I heard a lot of other stuff, read various magazines etc... I have to admit that some of those things kinda make sense, but still, there is no overwhelming evidence that would support the theory that the end of the world would inevitably be in 2012. Don't get me wrong, I can't (and actually nobody can) really disprove, that the end of the world would be in 2012. But nobody can prove it either. All we got are mostly speculations, some of which are based on real events. Don't forget much depends on how you actually interpret various "evidence"...

So yeah, in my opinion, nobody can really say the exact year when the end of the world would be. It doesn't work that way :-) Again, don't get me wrong, I can see quite well that this world has become really fucked up and something is going to happen, but as I said, giving out any specific dates seems really far-fetched to me. Moreover, I don't really believe it will be just *poooof* and everything will be gone during one day. It's more of a gradual process.

Which is why I remain skeptic when it comes to these "guaranteed" dates. But sure, I might be wrong, perhaps the end of the world will really be as predicted. I hope not, though, because it would really piss me off. Damn my life has been so miserable and the only reason I'm still hanging around is because I have been hoping this could just change at one time or another. But if I really had just like 4 years (which isn't much time), my chances on that would decrease considerably and it would be really, really upsetting.

Thanks, I appreciate your concern, but I meant that as a metaphor (sp?) because well...should the world indeed end in 2012, it made me realize my time here was completely and utterly wasted, lol! I most certainly didn't want to make an impression that I have to complain about my life all the time and need to have a talk. Done that many times, it never helped me in this case But you can check out my newest post in the Blood Bath Dungeon and tell me what you think.

But the end of the world is an interesting topic that can be discussed at great length, I don't want to fill this thread with my personal bullshit, so lets just try and stick to the topic, shall we?
