To imbue a metal item with the forces of the material world (Malkuth).
This spell/ritual/whatever can be used to attune an item to different energies as well as bringing it closer to your energies, thus helping you more in your workings.
This can be re-written and personalised as much or as little as wanted depending on the energies of the item you are dealing and the energies you wish to put upon it. I chose to reinforce a metal item with energies from this plane because that was what felt right...as I said, this can be personalised to imbue any desired energies into any desired item.
Set up a circle; within have 3 incense sticks burning, a jade, a candle, two other crystals of personal choice, Oil of Malkuth and 5 tarot cards representing the energies you wish to imbue the item with. Sit in the middle of the circle with the incense burning in front of you as well as the candle, the jade and the metal item. In between those items and yourself set up the tarot cards so that four form a cross and the main card rests on top in the middle, the order of these cards is left up to personal preference. For instance I lay Judgement at the north, the Moon at the east, the Hanged Man at the west, the Magician at the south and Strength on top. Place the two other crystals on top of the cards.
Bathe the item in the flame and say:
"Passing through this flame, you are reminded of the fires in which you were wrought"
Pick up the jade and guide it over the item, letting the energies of it pour forth and say:
"Bathing in the light of this jade, you are reminded of the earth from which you were wrought"
Place a couple of drops on the item and rub it all over, saying:
"With the anointing of this oil you are bound to this plane, to draw your power from whence you came"
Extend your own energies and bathe the item in them, saying:
"With the joining of my spirit you are remade"
Then state how you wish this item to act, in the following manner:
"You will become my ____, you will become my ____, you will become my ____, my ____ upon this realm"
For instance I used Fist, Righteous anger, Will and Action, but you could use it for protection i.e. "You will become my shield, you will become my never ending resolve, you will become my protection, my guardian upon this realm" etc.
Repeat the joining of your spirit, finishing the spoken part by saying once more "With the Joining of my spirit you are remade."
Finally place the item on the tarot cards and take up the two stones, one in each palm, drawing their energies into you, mixing it with your own. Cast this energy on the item to "re-forge" it.
Clear the space of energies and close the circle. Your item has been imbued with the desired forces.
