It is My opinion that most, if not all, comic super-hero's are based on vampyres.
Its like the authors want to say: 'look, You can do this too (and sorry about the super-hero shit, but We have to sell it...)' to all the latent vampyres in the world.
Just think of all the stuff they can, use or do: heal faster, telekinises, telepathy, use abnormal great strength, control the weather, fire or animals, create forcefields, move faster, and not to forget; the incredible frenzy (yes, refering to the hulk there).
Having that said; when it comes up to Your abilities, what (existing) super-(anti)hero would You be?

Venom, spidermans nemesis.
But instead of having aliengoo on me that dominates me I think of My energyshield as a (black) living cloth, something that can protect me on auto-pilote, stretch out to other people and stuff, and change itself depending on what I need it to do (like psychic camouflage).
I wish (but I doubt) that I once could develop it more so that its more than invisible energy.

I always had this fascination with
the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix aspect. It's still amazing that enough uncontrolled energy can become a flaming weapon and completely take over the *more
virtuous* side of a person.
